Photos of Xcenyia

I am still trying to figure out my camera, but I think I am on the right track. Here are some pictures that I took today of Xcenyia. She is such a doll and was so patient with me. She loved the flower too!!! Any friends in the area that would be willing to be my subjects for practice would be much appreciated :) I am afraid my family is getting rather sick of always having a camera in their face.

Halloween Spirit

The kids have been begging me to decorate our room with Halloween stuff so today we got busy and made a few things. We also put cobwebs all over the fire place and attached the spiders that we made with our hand prints, but those pictures were too blurry to see anything. I just love this time of year. The leaves are changing to this awesome shade of yellow, the air is so crisp, and all of these wonderful holidays are just right around the corner. I love it!!!
Jack-o-lanterns hanging from the window.....spooky :)

The inspiration for today's ideas.....I believe her name is "Peppersalt." Don't ask because I don't know why :)

This is why I am obsessed with Gymboree! I absolutely love this hat! I know, I know, letting an infant teethe on a leaf is not the best idea, but isn't she cute :) She was really mad when I took it away too!

Family Portraits by Sophie

Sophie has been drawing pictures all morning and here are her, and my favorites:

"Mommy, this is you when you had a baby in your tummy."

So every year since my girls have been old enough to dress up for Halloween, we have run out the night before in a panic because we put off getting their costumes for so long, oddly enough, we still ended up with some pretty cute ideas. Not this year...we went out last night to this Halloween super store and purchased not only their costumes, but decorations too. Yes, I am proud of myself :) Sophie has been wearing her costume ever since we bought it. See if you can guess what she will be....

One of Frankie's favorite things to do now is sit on the floor with her blocks and pull them all out of the bucket. Of course, each one goes straight to her mouth until she decides she is sick of it...then she moves onto the next one. In a couple months we will have to work on getting them all back into the box :) She is almost officially crawling, and now she says "ba-ba" over and over. It is seriously the cutest thing ever!

My Gym

I take Frankie to her gym class at My Gym on Saturdays. It is totally fun and a great way to bond with your child! She really loves it and I think it might even be helping her with her stranger anxiety. At the end of the class the teachers play with the kids while the parents take a break and she could care less that I leave her for a few minutes. If only she would be that way so Greg and I could have a night alone :)

Day at the park...

I took the girls to the park today since we are having such beautiful weather lately (except for today which is totally rainy, but also totally cozy inside). It was a short trip since I forgot to bring a bottle like a total nerd, but fun nonetheless. Some pics from the trip...

Witch's Brew

Bella liked to have me record her sing songs for her daddy while he was still in TX. This is the witch's brew song, or her version of how it should go.

Splish Splash!

This girl loves her bath time!!!

New addition to the family:

Toad the dwarf hamster. Sophie has been saving up her own money to buy a hamster and she finally had enough to do just that. Lulu, Bella's teddy bear hamster, is getting horribly fat and I am assuming that it is because her cage was too small and she didn't have enough room to really exercise. So Bella bought a new, much bigger cage with money that she had saved up, and Toad gets the old cage. Sophie is so excited to have her "very own pet" that she can take care of and love to peices. I did, however, have to explain to her this morning that it is probably not a good idea to give Toad a bath :)

CATS!

My mom and I took the girls to see "Cats" yesterday at the Capitol Theater. It was so awesome!!! I had heard the song called "Memory" before but never seen the actual performance. My mom and I both got teary eyed when Grizabella performed that song. She did a spectacular job. Here is a link to that performance on Youtube if you care to watch it, it is fantastic! The girls were extremely entertained especially when the Cats came out into the audience and interacted with the crowd. I would highly recommend it!

Happy 5th Birthday Sophie!!!

Happy Birthday
MySpace Graphics and Myspace Layouts at pYzam.com

This video was taken on September 3, 2005, Sophie's 2nd birthday. I seriously almost started crying! She just looks so little. I love the look on her face while we are all singing to her, she looks so proud! I love it! Don't have the volume too loud for the video where she blows out the candles, I got a little too excited for her and almost dropped the camera :)

Here are more adorable pictures of Sophie on her 1st, 3rd, 4th, and yes, the big 5th birthday! I couldn't find a picture of Sophie on her 1st birthday, so here is a scrapbook layout I did with a picture of her at the beach. This photo was taken on September 5th, 2004.

Here is a slide show from Sophie's 5th birthday celebration. We had it at a place called My Gym and anyone with one in their area should definitely look it up!
